Custom Reports
As I've created custom reports for my customers in the years past, one thing has become quite certain with any report design, where the customer often asks: that report is great...now can you do another just like it but in "blue"? ?
I get it. Once you see how you want your data, other ideas come to mind about seeing the data formatted in another direction, using crosstabs, graphs, charts, grouping on different data providing different summaries...all using the same data! It is helpful if you already have a basic layout of a report and what data you are looking for in a custom report. I can use your existing excel spreadsheet as a sample or we can refer to the ERP software your company is using and reference one of the built in reports and how you'd like one similar but with modified information to display.
